This distinctivley nutty Cheddar is matured in caves for a really unique flavour. It is aged for at least 8 months and has won several awards such as being crowned the supreme champion at the International Cheese Awards.

one not to miss for cheese lovers

there's nothing about this cheese that is reminiscent of supermarket cheddar ..... it is rich, deep and complex but be warned ..... ITS BIG! it lasts long enough and having a good chunk allows for cooking, eating and using in everything. this is a really good cheese.

It's an absolutely amazing cheddar, we're glad you enjoyed it! It is a large piece but definitely worth it, great for splitting down!

Rich, crumbly; deliciously salty: I’m a baking cheese scones with this huge chunk of cheese (if any is still there tomorrow). Always wanted to try this and it’s not a disappointment!

Over salted

I've had this cheese many times, including at Wookey Hole, but found this wedge a bit over-salted.
Beautifully and simply presented.

Sorry to hear about this, as the cheese is handmade you must have had one which had a little extra salt in.
